About Myths and Legends at Bedtime
Hello, and welcome.
I'm Andreas Kalos, and I retell the real myths and legends of Greece as calm bedtime tales for children.
Real myths, told gently
These are not invented “nice” versions. Each tale follows the original Greek myths as closely as possible: the real heroes, the real monsters, the real dangers and the real endings. They are told in simple, soft words a young child understands, with no blood and nothing frightening dwelt on, and every tale ends quietly, ready for sleep.
Made for bedtime
Each tale lasts about 15 minutes, with gentle music and soft sounds of the sea, the forest or the night in the background. The Twelve Labours of Hercules follow one another like a bedtime series: each tale opens with a short reminder of the last labour and ends with a hint of the next one, “tomorrow night”.
An honest note about the voice
The narration is an AI voice. It was designed for this series to sound like a calm Greek storyteller, and it is named Andreas Kalos, like the pen name on the books. The tales themselves are written for this series from the ancient Greek sources; the voice is made with AI text-to-speech (ElevenLabs).
Our wish
Myths and legends from all over the world help young minds grow: imagination, language, general knowledge and an understanding of other cultures. We are starting with Greece. More countries will follow.
Sweet dreams.
Andreas Kalos
